The following documents will be produced during the LDP preparation process:
The Delivery Agreement (DA): This document sets out the overall timetable for the production of the LDP. It is a public statement detailing the Authority's preparation of Local Development Plan. It also contains our Community Involvement Scheme and details how the Authority plan to involve the community in the production of the LDP. Local Development Plan: This will contain policies and proposals for the development and use of land. The LDP will move through the following stages of preparation, each of which will be the subject of public consultation. Preferred Strategy:Containing the key aims and objectives for the LDP and will indicate broad locations for growth or protection. Deposit LDP:Containing key strategy, generic development policies, major allocations and specific policies for key areas of change and proposals map. Adopted LDP:Plan as approved through Examination by Independent Inspector. A Sustainability Appraisal / Strategic Environmental Assessment (SA/SEA): The policies and proposals contained in the LDP must be appraised to ensure that they contribute to the aims of Sustainable Development. The SA/SEA report will set out the results from this appraisal. Supplementary Planning Guidance: Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) will be produced by the NPA to supplement the LDP and used as a means of setting out more detailed thematic or site specific guidance on the way in which the policies of an LDP will be applied in particular circumstances or areas. Any SPG will not form part of the LDP itself but will be consistent with it.
